I help organizations transform transportation operations through data-driven automation, civic technology, and the hard-won expertise of running a logistics company and sharing insights at the U.S. Department of Transportation's Every Place Counts Leadership Academy.
My journey started behind the wheel and inside the warehouse. From 2013 to 2017, I owned and operated a logistics company in the Inland Empire, managing freight, coordinating routes, and solving the daily operational puzzles that keep supply chains moving. That hands-on experience taught me where the real inefficiencies live, and where automation creates the most impact.
During that time, I was invited to the U.S. Department of Transportation's Every Place Counts Leadership Academy under Secretary Anthony Foxx, where I saw firsthand how transportation decisions shape communities, and how data transparency can shift the balance of power toward the people those decisions affect most.
Today, I combine that operational background with AI-driven automation and civic technology to help organizations move faster, spend smarter, and build more equitably.
USDOT Every Place Counts Leadership Academy
Joel shared insights at this USDOT conference where community leaders explored how transportation decisions impact neighborhoods across America.
From supply chain optimization to civic data platforms, solutions grounded in real-world logistics experience
Optimize freight operations, route planning, and supply chain workflows using data-driven strategies built from hands-on logistics management experience.
Turn raw government transportation data into actionable community insights. Grant writing support, equity analysis, and data-driven advocacy for agencies and nonprofits.
Eliminate repetitive tasks and streamline operations with intelligent automation, from document processing to predictive analytics and system integration.

Every Place Counts is the only platform that organizes official government transportation data around the five-phase decision-making process communities actually experience: Plan, Fund, Design, Build, and Maintain.
Inspired by the USDOT's own framework and built for Riverside County first, the platform makes it possible for residents, advocates, and local officials to see exactly how $400M+ in annual transportation funding flows through their community.
From community organizations to government agencies, clients who need transportation data translated into action
Data-powered advocacy toolkits for residents fighting for equitable transportation investment in their neighborhoods.
Aggregated data dashboards for city planners, council members, and transportation commission staff to justify funding requests.
Pre-aggregated statistics and equity analysis to strengthen STBG, CMAQ, RAISE, and other federal grant applications.
Workflow automation, route optimization, and compliance systems built by someone who has run the operation firsthand.
Bridging government data, community needs, and intelligent automation

Transforming raw BTS, FHWA, and Census data into actionable insights that help communities understand where transportation dollars flow and why.

Connecting disparate government APIs, logistics platforms, and business systems into unified, efficient workflows that eliminate manual data entry.
